More Christmas Cards

I'm very behind on my Christmas cards, and sure many of you have finished yours.

Anyway I made these on Wednesday when my friend Amanda and I got together for a crafting evening (without wine!!) I made these two cards and coloured in 4 more images.

The DP and cardstock, ribbon are from my stash. The sentiment stamp is from HOTP, part of a QVC kit (click on the image to see it in more detail).

Hope you are all having a good weekend, I have to say the girls and I are, even if Mark is working all weekend.

H & S Christmas Tree

Bought this sentiment stamp last year and was just going to stamp it inside the cards, but never used it. When I got these H&S images, I thought they would go really well with the stamp.

I stamped the Christmas Tree with Brilliance ink, then heat embossed it, then rubbed a light green chalk ink stamp over it. H&S coloured in with stampin up wonder crayons. Paper and ribbon from stash.

Have a great day.

Happy Birthday Mum

Its my mum's birthday today and I made this card for her, as I thought the two little hedgehogs, reminded me of my girls running along with her present. Very simple card again but I'm pleased with it.

Knitting - Baby Cards

As you might have gathered I like knitting so this card incorporates the two things I like doing.

It is a very basic card again, the DP is from papermania, cocktail sticks from kitchen, knitting wool, ribbon and beads from stash. As I was just playing around with this card I die cut BOY out with my quickutz, but I'll remove and put the recipients name there instead.
I'm hoping to have sometime to craft tonight, but I've had a particularly bad morning as I was going to pay some money into my account, when I had my purse stolen from my handbag. When I contacted the police they said there were alot of pick pockets around at the moment seeing that we are now in the build-up for the silly season. So as you can imagine I am feeling fed up and a few pounds lighter (not body weight either).

AWOL

I've been absent for so long as I have been busy knitting socks for my local knitting shop (for her display). I've made some fabby stripped over the knee ones, though I did forget to take a picture - I'll do that next time I'm in the shop. I've also been offered a part-time job there so as you can imagine I am overjoyed - lovely wool!!! - though it is dependant on childcare.

Anyway I have decided that I need to sit down and make some christmas cards so I came up with this one. It is very easy, papers from stash, the N is a stencil from Basic Grey (I think) cut out of bazzil basic card stock. I've cut out the Noel with my quickutz Katie dies and heat embossed in white Happy Christmas. Hope you like, I do.

Am I on a roll?

My crafting buddy Amanda came round last night and in the midst of the chaos of house (mark plumbing in a radiator) we managed to make some cards. I made another one of my christmas cards and this one. Not my best but I think my mojo is on its way back!! Hooray.

Though after looking through Amanda lovely new scrapbooking album I think I might have a go at doing some pages, as I have not made any in such a long time. Wish me luck.
Thanks for looking.

Christmas Card

Thought I would have a go a making a Christmas card, I've used this cute H&S image, (thanks Tricia) coloured it in with my wonder crayons from stamping up. The papers I purchased from a kit from QVC last year (scrapbooking/card kit with lots of lovely chipboard embellishments - first time I have used). Pleased with this as I really love the colours, have coloured in another image and will make another tonight - I might have finished my Christmas cards by this time next year - LOL!!1

Have a good day.

Hoppy Birthday

My mojo has left and I was desperate to make a card, so I've sort of copied this one from the stampin up catalogue, hopefully it might help me find my missing mojo. This was really quick to make and a I made three of them - thought it would be good for male cards. Please mojo come back!!!

Excuse the picture having problems uploading from files to blogger keeps changing the format of the picture, no time to fiddle now will be back later.

Quickutz Revolution Die

I used my friends Quickutz Revolution machine and large die last night, and decided to use it with this Penny Black Stamp. I have to admit I found this quite difficult, as I have not used such a large flower as an embellishment, but I'm quite pleased with it.

Nothing to show

Haven't anything to show you at the moment, as I have seemed to have lost my mojo, but I need to make some cards as I have a few birthdays coming up this month.

The girls start school this and next week, so most evenings seem to be spent sewing in labels etc. Though I have had sometime to knit (a lot easier than hunting around my cupboard), I finished a bolero for my youngest and am just about to complete a cardigan for me. Yipee - it has only taken me two years as I keep starting and finishing other projects!!

Hope to be able to post something by the end of the week.

A Night Out

Well last night I went round to my friend Amanda, for a crafty time. We both made one card and a good old chat.

My Wonder Crayons arrived from Stampin Up yesterday, so I had to have a play with them, they are just gorgeous. The stamped image is one of Amanda's new ones from Craftsulove (our latest shopping trip!!!)

Hope you like.

Bella with Flowers

Not been around for the last week as we've had the builders in, who finally finished yesterday, so I was able to sit down last night and have a play.

This is a very simple card using a Bella image, which I have coloured in with Prismacolours (I bought these off ebay - 72 of them for £13.50, they came from Canada and were rejects, but are great, there did not seem to be anything wrong with them - I now have a good selection of colours when I include my polychromics by Faber-Castell.

My Favourite Tilda

This is my favourite Tilda stamp, Vanessa from Nessy Notes kindly sent me some stamped images of her, but when I was a Craftsulove last week I just had to pop her in my shopping bag!!

This card is a bit out of my comfort zone, as I would not normally use these colours or so many patterned papers on a card, but I am quite pleased with it. I've coloured her in with my Faber-Castell polychromics and blended with paper stumps and sansador, added a bit of glitter with some stickles.

In Bloom

I can't quite believe it, it been a week since I last published anything, where does the time go to?

Last weekend I had Saturday evening off, so the girls and I popped down to Craftsulove Birthday Celebrations, where I had the pleasure of meeting Stampin Caz (I can now put her face to her name), what a super talented lady she is. Well you can't go all that way without purchasing anything, so I bought some Alotta stamps, a couple of Magnolia's, and of course the mandatory papers!! Actually I think I was quite restrained, but I am going back next week with my friend Amanda - it's her birthday and we are going out for the day.

Anyway last night I did have the time and the inclination to play and this is what I came up with, I hope you like.

Thank You Mrs Green

This is a card I made for Mrs Green, Alicia's Year 2 teacher, to say thank you for all the support and encouragement she gave Alicia in her final year at Infant School. I made it on Monday when my friend Amanda came round for the evening, we had a good time even if I did manage to knock my glass of red wine over the table and into my Magnolia stamp box!!! Lovely job to cleaning up, all my stamps are drunk now!!
I've coloured the image in with my Copics, and doodle with a Sakura Souffle Pen.

A partridge in a pear tree

When I popped into my local craft shop the Crafty Cow, I couldn't resist this set of Penny Black Stamps, so of course I bought them.

I've coloured in the image with my copics, used my nestabilities dies and mounted on bazzill basics cardstock. The patterned papers is Rusty Pickle, double sided Snowflakes and Mittens - Mistletoe, and the ribbon from my stash.

Hope you have a good weekend, working tonight and tomorrow, so unless I have some energy I don't think I will be making anything this weekend.

Saturday Penny Black Challenge No 5

This is my first attempt at this challenge and I have used my Fresh New Day Transparent Stamps. I've been wanting to have a go at inchies, but I don't have an inch punch (this one is 1 1/4 inch punch). Seeing that the image was so small, I then thought I would use a 4 inch card. The papers are from my stash (bought from the Glitterpot), doodlebug glitter card and prima flower with brad.

I've coloured the image in with my copics, the lamb looked a little bit flat so I've used a cool grey and baby pink on him, and to make him look mottled used the colourless blender. I'm slightly disappointed with it as I forgot to 3D mount the lamb. Oh well live a learn.

Hope you all have a great day.

Teddy Bear

After work last night had a bit of inspiration and this is what I made.
I really enjoyed doing this, and am pleased with it. The paper is double sided and is by Me and My Big Ideas. I've used my scalloped rectangle nestabilities and used a craft knife to cut round one of the flowers and then inserted the image behind it. I've also used my new spots and dots cuttlebug embossing folder, you can't really see in the photo but it looks good IRL. The usual sparkle on the wings. The ribbons is from my stash, and the butterfly is from a bracelet of my daughters which she broke - thanks Alicia!!!
I've coloured the image in with my Copics, these are so great, I think I am getting better at layering the colour - but practice makes perfect.

Thanks Vanessa from Nessys Notes for the image.

Spots and Magnolia

No chance to card make the last week as hubby decided to knock the wall down between the kitchen and the dinning room. This will now give us a kitchen/diner and so much more space, I have spent the last week cleaning up brick dust, it always surprises me how much there is, and he still hasn't finished, another six inches to be removed to make the wall flush.

Anyway to the card, a quick one a made last night for my stock as one of my customers has placed a bulk order.

Wow - 70!!

I can't actually believe it but my dad is seventy today - he certainly doesn't look like it or act like it!! Happy Birthday Dad. Alicia gave him a quick call this morning before school to sing him "Happy Birthday" I've no idea what he thought as she put the phone down, I'll ring him later and then pop round with his present - a barometer for the garden.

Anyway to the card, self explanatory. I've used a penny black stamp I've had a while which I think can cover a variety of things I also made a card for my next door neighbours son as he starts and new job on Monday which is exactly the same except it says congratulations.

Hi I'm Back

Well we are back from our hols, and we had a great time now back to reality, school runs, swimming lessons, shopping, ironing etc. LOL.

Anyway here is my card which I made last night, it was for Alicia who will be seven on Friday, but I think I might have another go tonight - she wants some stamped images so I thought I might make her a wallet card.

Card self explanatory really, Tilda on Swing, coloured with with polychromics and sansador. Paper making memories, cuddly buddly sentiment stamp, ribbon from stash. You can't really see on the card but I used a shimmering chalk on the back of the stamped image for the sky, it is very soft and subtle, I think I might use my twinkling H2o's next time.

Thanks for stopping by

Not been around

Sorry haven't been around for the last week as I have lots of UFO (unfinished objects), and I wanted to finish knitting a cardigan before we go on holiday. Off for a few days next week, so I won't be posting for a while.

And Another One (ATC)

Well I was on a roll sorting out my scraps so I made another ATC, same image as yesterday as it was already coloured in and went with these papers.

Saturday, 31 May 2008

My First ATC

Had these ATC blanks around for quite a while, and had coloured in more than one image, so while I sorted out the scraps from earlier, I quickly made this up. Going to have to do this again, it was such fun, and only took moments.
Papers - Creative Memories
Flower - Prima
Brad - Poppicrafts

PWC - Katharina's Sketch 3

This is my first attempt at this challenge which I really enjoyed doing, one of the reasons is I have a child free day, as the girls have gone to my friends in Emsworth and Mark is picking them up later after he has finished work, YIPEE playtime!!

It's a new magnolia stamp from their Stamp Club (I won the set on ebay this week - am I happy girl or what!). I've coloured her in with my Faber-Castell polychromics and sansador, the papers are by Creative Memories, CS Bazzil Bling with the cuttlebug embossing folder. Sentiment stamp cuddly buddly.

Hope you like, off to the garden centre later and then to work. Enjoy your weekend.
Not the best photo, camera playing up.

Fabby-tast-ic

I was feeling very proud of myself yesterday, as I finished the alterations on my customer curtains thanks to the rain, as the girls and I watched Parent Trap and I sewed. YIPEE.

Last night I made a couple of these cards, the stamp is by Stamping Bella - Fabby - paper and ribbons from stash, just a simple design again but I like it - nice and fresh my hubby said, though this morning he did say I need some fun sentiments - cost money dear I said, but I need to stop buying images and buy words!!!

Have a great day.

A card to me from Alicia

When I went to bed last night I found this card from Alicia. I had given her some Bella images and she had coloured this one in, mounted it and cut out FUN with her cuttlekids machine and dies. The message inside read: To mum, I love you but not all the time. Love Alicia. LOL - the sentiment sums it up!!

Stamp Something

Vanessa from Nessynotes kindly sent me this images, thanks Vanessa. I've coloured it in with Copics, I love these, the colours are so great. I've put a couple of white dots on her cheeks to highlight them (keep seeing this around the blogs and had a go), stickles on her wings, and lots of faux stitching.

I thought I would enter this for the Stamp Something and Friday Sketchers Stamps challenge. I've used the layout from the Friday Sketchers, and faux stitched it with a souffle pen for Stamp Something, as their challenge was anything faux (stitching).

Hope you all have a great weekend, won't be around for a few days as I have a sewing job to do altering a client curtains, yuk, but I keep thinking of the money, LOL. Anita

A Present from Vanessa

I recently sent Vanessa from NessyNotes (she makes fab cards check her out as she is one talented lady) some Bella images, and she kindly sent me these, some of the new Tildas and accessories. Thanks Vanessa I love them and the walleted you sent them is gorgeous, I can't wait to play with these.
I've managed to colour a couple of the images in and tonight I hope to make a couple of cards.

Have a great Friday.

Bead, Beads, Beads

I came across this card I made last year for my daughter Alicia, and just wanted to share it with you, it was one of my first cards I made, and I handmade the beaded fish and seahorse. I think I've improved since then, but I still really like this one. Alicia will be seven next month, so I need to get my thinking hat on.

The stamp is by Woodware, and I made the mermaids tail with fantasy fibre, starfish with bazzil bling, the fibres are from my knitting stash. Number cut with Studio quickutz die.

Thanks for looking.

An Award

Vanessa from Nessynotes has given me this award thanks Vanessa, I'm really chuffed my first award. Ill update later with whom I'm going to pass this onto.

Ismaki Challenge - 19

Though I would have a go at this challenge as I aways look at it, thinks it's great and never do it. So here is another first.

Same papers as yesterday, but the opposite way round, the image is the same as yesterday as I had coloured in six of these. The greetings are Stampin Up, flowers prima and brads from stash. These again are very simple, I try to add more but I think my cards look messy, I think I need to accept that my look is less not more!! LOL.

Thanks for looking.

Summer Girl

As you can see made four cards last night, all the same papers but slightly different. Really enjoyed making these, coloured in with copics, I've used some dimensional glaze on the cheeks. The flowers were cut with my wizard and dies, and I then curved them by using a large embossing tool on them. Check out http://www.joanne-mainlyflowers.blogspot.com/ this is where the idea came from.

First Something - Cupcake

I thought I would do this for for the new challenge site Stamp Something, this week it is "first's" - this can mean anything from first birthday, new technique, new stamp. So while I've been blog hopping I've seen some wonderful cards made with cupcake stamps, so I thought I would have a go - so this is my FIRST.

As you can see it is a very simple card made with a magnolia stamp and layered and matted onto CS and DP. At the bottom of the picture you will see a cupcake paper case which I bought from my local cook shop, I used this as inspiration for the the cupcakes, you might just be able to see the spots on the paper case.

Hope you like.

Happy Anniversary

It was my wedding anniversary yesterday and this is the card I made for my lovely hubby Mark. We've been married for 15 years - where has the time gone?

It is certainly not my best but was made with love, the stamps are by Stampin Up entitled Campout. I've coloured in with watercolour pencils, used paper from my stash and ribbon and knitting wool (from wool collection!!). The green clip is a clip-it by Rob & Bob. I chose the camping theme as we both like camping and now that the girls are older we have started taking them camping - they love it - all that air certainly makes them sleep better. We are hoping to go camping in June, but will need to take Alicia out of school, have to say I can't wait, must admit we do it in style, have to have electricity!!!!

Have a great Friday.

Here comes a Pirate

Another party for one of my girls, this time a used my new Stamping Bella Little Johnny Depster - isn't he cute. I've used hopscotch papers again by K&Co, mounted him onto bazzil cardstock, doodled around the edges with a white and grey souffle pen. The skull is made with Alicia's (my six year old daughters) cuttlekids machine and die - isn't it great!! Number 7 is a peel off!!!

Hope you like, I coloured in 3 other Johnny images, mounted the papers onto the cards, but didn't finish them off, maybe tonight.

Have a great Thursday.

Tilda in Grass (or Heather)

Just a quick post this morning of three cards I made last night, one is for a birthday tomorrow and the others for my stash. If you click on the first image, you will see that I have stamped a frame then mounted the greeting onto this (I do wish I had aged this bit, as it looks rather white - but it was late last night, and I didn't think about it). Hope you like.

Miss Sophisticated

Alicia has a birthday party to go to and my card box, did not have anything suitable for a seven year old girl. So out came my new Eloise Greengrass stamp isn't she gorgeous, I think this is a very sophisticated card for Holly, but I think she will like it.

I've painted her with Twinkling H20's and used crystal stickles on her wings (I think they are wings but it could be her dress).

Hope you like, might be back tomorrow as I'm not going to work today, Charlotte has a really bad tummy bug and is running a temperature, Mark's at work so I've had to take leave, oh well thats life.

Super Tyler by Stamping Bella.

I painted these images in earlier in the week, I know they are not the normal Super Hero outfits colours, but I wanted to use my new Hopscotch Papers by K&Co. I really like the brads, as they give a masculine feel to the card, these brads can purchased from Poppicrafts.
The card size is 5x5, but I wish I had used 6x6 as I think it would look good with SUPER along the top and the recipients name a along the bottom e.g. SUPER ROWAN, I'm going try that for Alicia's friend Rowan's 7 birthday. So watch this space!!

Have a great Friday.

Emmybella

I made four of these cards last night, all exactly the same, but when I upload the pictures from the camera, I only seemed to get this one. I haven't the time to mess about with the PC as I am meant to be cleaning.

Anyway very much self explanatory Emmybella coloured in with water pencils, papers by K&CO (Citrus Neopolitan Scrap Pad to Go - free with a subscription to Scrapbook Inspirations). The sentiment is by Cuddly Buddly and ribbon from stash.

Hope you all have a good Tuesday, wish me luck with the cleaning the house looks like a bomb site!!

K & Co Papers and Tilda

Sorry not been around much this week, have been having fun with the girls. Been to Alice Holt Forestry Commission, around the the Historic Dockyards in Portsmouth (fab time had by all, hubby loved the climbing wall and the helicopter simulator), and a visit to Wisley Gardens, to see their new glass house.

Anyway enough of that and back to the cards, I made the first one on thursday night, the cirlce was cut with my CM circle cutters, I came up with this idea whilst blog hopping. The second card I made last night, what do you think? does it need another embellishment eg. flower? I'm not sure. I don't normally like stamping directly onto the card as I get very irritated when it does not work out, but while I was in craft cupboard yesterday, I can across this box of Penny Black stamps, which I bought last year and had yet to ink. I love the flower and bee, which I coloured in with Sakura glitter pens, the hello stamp is part of the same set.

As you might have noticed bit of a theme on the paper and ribbons at the moment, after reading Mish Mash blog about not hoarding and using your stash, I've been trying to work with the same set of papers for a bit, adding just bits on bobs from my cupboard. I've yet to use all the different papers in the pack, so you'll be seeing some more cards with this paper pack.

Anyway hope you have a good weekend, might be back tomorrow but I have work tonight and sometimes I just like to crash when I get back.
