New Stamps

Well I did have time and the inclination to play last night and made this card. It is with one of my new Penny Black Stamps from my trip to the Glitter Pot, I've coloured with polychromics and used sansador, there is a little bit of decoupage (the bees) and the papers are doodlebug. Not bad I think when you are feeling tired after an evening at work, though I was rather annoyed when I knocked the bees and got silicone glue on other parts of the card, so this morning I sat there picking it off. I did make another mistake when using my nestabilities and tried to be clever when I embossed the wrong side of the image, so there are two embossing lines - oh well my friend Jenny won't mind, I just wanted to send her a card to say hello and see how she is doing in her new home.

Have a good Monday.

Knitted Babe

Alicia wanted me to show her knitted Babe I made her for Charlotte's birthday last month, the photography is not mine but hers, not bad for six? The Babe has been named Snowdrop and has a selection of knitted and sewn clothes, it has been a huge success. Rather unusual looking though.

The Glitter Pot

Had a fab day out with my friend Amanda today, went to the Glitter Pot, what a wonderful shop, stamps, more stamps, paper and lots of yummy things. I'll post a picture a bit later when the kids have gone to bed and the hubby to the gym. Had to laugh though as we went into the shop three times, I don't think they ever thought we were going to leave. Bought some great stamps, been wanting some word ones for ages, and they had a great range of Hero Art clear stamps, so I bought those, some Penny Black, a selection of papers and flowers, can't wait to play, but that won't be until sunday, as we are out for dinner tomorrow, and I work Saturday evening, Oh well, that's life.

Sweet and Pink

I coloured this image in last week, and finally got round to making a card. I know I did it the wrong way round, choose your papers then colour the image in. When hunting for paper, I was quite surprised I did not have that many pink papers, maybe I will have to go and buy some. Off to the Glitter Pot tomorrow, so let see what happens.

Anyway as you can see it is a Magnolia image, don't know the paper just some from my stash, flower from a wizard die on bazzil paper and bling doodlebugs. Rather pleased with this, simple but effective my hubby said.

Card for Jason

Feeling rather tired yesterday, even though I had not done anything really all day, coffee with a friend and a relaxing afternoon with Charlotte, so I was feeling very uninspired when I realised I had to make a card for my nephew, so this is not great, but it will have to do. Sorry Jason.

PIF Candy

I won some PIF candy from Frances last week, so now I have some candy up for graps, you know how it works, the first three people who leave a comment win some candy.

Mothering Sunday Card

Well I spent last night making my mothering sunday cards, as Mark's mum is off to the States on Saturday and he wanted to get it in the post, but you can guess this morning he goes off to work without it - men!!!.

Another Magnolia stamp, coloured with Faber-Castell polychromics pencils and sansador, I've just started using these and have not quite got the hang of them yet, but I do like the look it gives you. The paper is papermania again, same as yesterday in fact. I used my creative memories templates to cut out the ovals as I have yet to get some more nestabilities (maybe next month), and I faux stitched it with a souffle pen, and some prima flowers and brads from stash. Hope you like.

Alex from Sillybirds Stamping

Alex from Sillybirds Stamping sent me the first card (which one of my daughters has removed some of the bling - there were three dewdrops at the start - oh well kids will be kids, and it is bound to turn up soon - in an unlikely place!!). The next two cards are my take on her card, I've used Sugar Nellies from Funky Kits, coloured in with my copic markers (courtesy of Alex), and used papermania paper, some beads from my beading stash on one, and the other brads. They've worked out quite well I think and make fresh looking birthday cards. My mate Bekki will be getting the 40 one for her birthday today, Happy Birthday Bek's, hope you like being Forty!!

Sugar Nellie Luca

I had half an hour to spare on monday so I quickly made this car for my friends little boy Stanley he will be five. I used some dovecraft papers, which I think are great, always find it hard to make men's cards, but I love these blues. Anway going to de-flea the cat now, if she let me catch her, wish me luck.

Thank you cards

Well now that Charlotte's celebrations have finished I now sat down to make her thank you cards, only something small (then I don't have to write too much!!). I've used 10 x 10cm card and used up some paper I've had hanging around for quite a while (I am determined to use up some of my supplies, I'm running out of room in my crafting cupboard - it happens to be under the stairs - not lucky as some who have a whole room, but I am not complaining as it all in one place). Anyway back to the card, I've used my new Stampin Up Circle of Friendship stamps, and a quickutz flower die, a bit of ribbon and that was it, simple but effective and quick to do.

Anyway of to tidy up the garden now, then later to work, maybe if I'm feeling up to it I will complete the other 15 thank you cards.

Hope you have a good sunday. Bye

Oh no a Magnolia

Hi there, well I have been making a few cards, along with the knitting and preparing for Charlotte's birthday party, which went well even though she decided to run a temperature, the kids had a great time bouncing on the castle, and there was hardly any food left.
Anyway enough of that, I made another magnolia card, this one a slider, took a few attempts getting the prototype right but got there in the end. It has been coloured in with Twinkling H20's, these are so fab and easy to work with, I am no longer a frightened painter. Papers, Basic Grey, flowers prima, and of course I've used the Nestabilities dies, need to get some more of these, but can't quite decide between the square or the oval, what do you think?

Had a great morning with my friend Amanda yesterday, we had a card making session, great to sit down with a mate have a chat and play. Thanks Amanda.
